Bring a friend! – Owners of a season ticket or subscription to Handball Bundesliga club MT Melsungen can look forward to an extra reward. Beyond the standard option of receiving one free ticket for a match during the first and second leg, all season ticket holders can bring along a friend to the crucial encounter on 1 October against Frisch Auf Göppingen. The free tickets — naturally in the same category as the season ticket itself — are available starting immediately upon presentation of the season ticket at the MT business offices at Mühlenstr. 14 in Melsungen, at the Fan-Point Kassel at Am Friedrichsplatz 8 and at Sporthaus Solms, Lohfelden, Hauptstr. 49.
"The offer to bring along a friend for free to a Bundesliga home match has been part of our package for season ticket holders for years. It's enjoyed growing popularity since we first offered it. After hearing about the intense demand, we've taken advantage of this special opportunity to offer an extra fixture during the season — and a highly anticipated match against Frisch Auf Göppingen no less. We're hoping to ring up our next two points here with as many fans as possible and secure a successful start to what's likely to be a difficult October schedule", says MT President Axel Geerken.
Whether or not the team will rise up the table during October as in past years will be partially decided by the match on 1/10 against league stalwart Frisch Auf Göppingen (throw-off 7 pm, Rothenbach-Halle Messe Kassel). With just 2:8 points on the table from the first five fixtures, the season has so far definitely run "behind plan" for the MT. The chance to turn it all around will be largely decided in the next four weeks. After the home match against Göppingen, Roth's team next travels to Leipzig, followed by the TVB Stuttgart in Kassel (16/10). The second half of the month will see a contest in Lemgo (22/10) followed by home-and-away matches against GWD Minden. The DHB Cup quarter-finals in eastern Westphalia are slated for 26/10, followed three days later (29/10) by the green-and-white for a Bundesliga duel at Rothenbach Hall. With such a busy schedule ahead, the match against Frisch Auf Göppingen will hopefully set the tone right for October.
