The German Junior National Handball team will launch into the main round of the U20 European Championship against host nation Denmark. Throw-off for the match is scheduled for Tuesday, 2 August at 8 pm. In the second main round match, the team under the coaching duo of Markus Baur and Erik Wudtke will square off against Norway (6 pm) The youngest player on the squad is MT pivot Johannes Golla (photo: back row, shirt number 18).
The top two teams in the two main round groups will move on to the semi-final to be held on Friday, 5 August. As with all preliminary round matches, both matches for the German team will be available as a live stream (www.m20euro2016.com/livestream).
The DHB squad enters into the main round of the Euros with three wins in three matches. After a 27-23 victory in their opening match against Sweden, the juniors also bested Croatia (29-22) and Hungary (30-22). The victory against Croatia in the preliminary round sends the Germans into the main round with 2:0 points already in their pocket.
